Can I just make it clear that those little coffee-sized pyramid packs of baileys that they are test marketing down here have a most efficacious effect on the first coffee of the morning? Makes the forthcoming day seem even mildly bearable :-)

An email I sent out to business colleagues around the world this morning. Am posting it here for anyone else who should have received an xmas card from me. Which means you lot and others too.

Dear All!

This is just a little e-christmas card saying Happy Christmas and
best wishes for the new year.

Rather than spend the money on cards and postage, especially to
friends abroad, I've decided to put the money in a heap, buy a big
selection of chocolate biscuits, mince pies and other lovely things
from Duchy Originals (the food company run by Prince Charles for
charity - http://www.duchyoriginals.com )

Andre and I will be taking a large box-full of these to the Intensive
Care Ward at Bury St Edmunds Hospital. It will brighten up the coffee
breaks and lunches of the nurses working there over the holiday
period, and is where mum spent her final days last Christmas.

I'm sure you would all approve.
